nyah is a self-produced singer-songwriter and composer from Carson, California. Similar to an impressionist painter, nyah arranges sound to depict human perception and emotion above reality. She complements atmospheric and ethereal tones with intricate rhythms, exploring how time, light, warmth, and color can be felt.

As a high school vocalist, nyah performed and won various awards as a member of 7 vocal ensembles (ranging from classical to jazz), and performed at Carnegie Hall in the 11th grade.  nyah has been composing music for film for three years. She studied Media Production at Pepperdine University, where she scored over 30 projects including senior thesis films, web series, and a 48hr film festival project.

In the summer of 2016 she studied abroad in Sydney, Australia, where she composed the musical score for the short film Night Lights. Her composition won Best Original Score at the 2017 Reel Stories Film Festival. Night Lights placed 2nd in the 2017 BEA Film Festival, and 3rd place at the Ignite Film Showcase. The short film was screened in the Windrider Forum at Sundance in January 2018.
